With Menstrual Hygiene Day being May 28th, we have chosen the girls at the Attafuah Secondary Technical High School (ASTECH) in Akim Oda in the Birim Central district located in the Eastern Region of Ghana as the first recipients of our maiden donation event on Friday May 26th, 2023.
There are about 1000 adolescent girls in the school and along with this donation, The TOM Projectwill offer much needed menstrual hygiene education to the adolescent girls and boys in the community to raise awareness and empower everyone to help bridge this inequality gap when it comes to access to menstrual products and achieving proper menstrual hygiene so girls can menstruate with dignity.
